Road mats (also known as ground protection mats or temporary roadway mats) are engineering materials used to create temporary or semi-permanent roadways. They are primarily manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). Designed to replace traditional steel plates, they can be laid over challenging terrain such as mud, sand, snow, or lawns.
